1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — localStorage, sessionStorage, and session cookies managed by Supabase Auth — behave the same way for the purposes of this policy. We refer to all of these collectively as “cookies”.
2. How we use cookies
Reeldrift uses a minimal set of cookies, grouped into three categories:
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
Required to run the Service. Without these, you cannot sign in or use the app. No consent is required for these under EU law because they are strictly necessary.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
sb-access-token | Supabase authentication session. | ~1 hour (refreshed silently). |
sb-refresh-token | Keeps you signed in across sessions. | Up to 30 days. |
rf_consent | Remembers your cookie consent choice. | 12 months. |
2.2 Preferences (always on — local only)
Stored locally in your browser (localStorage), never sent to our servers. Used to remember UI state so the app feels right for you.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
rf_theme | Dark/light theme preference. |
rf_page, rf_account, rf_template, rf_brand | Remembers which page, account, and template you were viewing. |
rf_auto_publish | Your auto-publish pause state. |
You can clear these any time in your browser settings without affecting your account.
2.3 Analytics (no cookies, no consent required)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our public pages to count visits and measure performance. It is privacy-first by design: it does not set any cookies, does not fingerprint browsers, does not track you across other sites, and does not collect any personal data. Because it stores nothing on your device, no consent banner is required for it under the ePrivacy Directive / GDPR.
Cloudflare aggregates data such as page views, referrer, country, and Core Web Vitals timings. We never tie analytics to your user ID. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for details.
We do not currently load any cookie-based analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising SDKs). If we ever add an analytics tool that uses cookies, we will gate it behind explicit consent in the cookie banner before loading.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising cookies. A small number of third-party cookies may be set by our sub-processors when you interact with their widgets:
- TikTok — the TikTok OAuth pop-up is operated by TikTok. It may set its own cookies during authorization. See TikTok’s cookie policy.
- Lemon Squeezy — our Merchant of Record. Handles checkout and the customer billing portal; sets its own cookies on
store.reeldrift.proandapp.lemonsqueezy.comonly when you upgrade or manage a paid plan. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
4. Your choices
- Cookie banner. When you first visit
reeldrift.proyou can accept optional cookies, reject them, or customise per-category. You can revisit your choice at any time — see the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. - Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies globally or per-site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
- Opt-out tools. The Your Online Choices (EU) and DAA (US) portals offer further opt-outs for advertising cookies (we don’t use them, but the tools are useful for other sites).
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new integrations or change how we track usage. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
